What a way to start things off: only a scant few months after moving to Portland, I had the pleasure of experiencing and shooting at Portland Fashion Week 2007! We were pretty swamped with other work, so I only had time to cover two nights of runway shows, but they were both pretty darned fabulous.
It was clearly a big production with plenty of Portland luminaries in attendance, and the organic bamboo runway and clean lines of the set made the perfect backdrop for the parade of fresh, new fashions. The models looked great, which made for easy shooting, and it was great to meet and mingle with the stylists and production people behind the scenes. I’m looking forward to next year, for sure!
